Megan in the Community
Some highlights of my community involvement over the past couple years.

Mentor - Outbound Responder
I volunteered for a year at the Distress Centres
of Greater Toronto as an outbound phone responder. Having a 15 minute time limit to speak with vulnerable clients allowed me to make quick decisions while professionally guiding client conversations. I became a mentor responder as well, training onboarding volunteers.

Steps Public Art Event - Project Lead
This summer, I organized a sustainable arts and crafts event with DrumIn. Using recycled materials such as bottle caps, rice, and paper towel rolls, Our participants crafted beautiful percussion instruments to feature in our community drum circle.
